New DASCIN Chapter Formation Application
Members who wish to establish a new chapter within DASCIN must complete and submit a Chapter Formation Application. Applicants must be current members of DASCIN in good standing.
Each application will undergo a review process conducted by DASCIN staff and volunteers. This review will evaluate the request based on member needs, alignment with DASCIN’s strategic goals, and the potential impact on existing chapters.
Please note that the submission of an application does not guarantee the formation of a new chapter. Additionally, any proposals to create sub-chapters or branches of existing DASCIN chapters must be initiated and submitted by the leadership of the existing chapter.

Chapter Formation Process
Forming a new DASCIN chapter is a significant undertaking, requiring a dedicated steering team of volunteers to develop a multi-year business plan for approval. This plan is essential to ensure that the proposed chapter has a sustainable vision and the necessary resources for future growth and success.
Volunteers should be prepared to invest significant time and effort into intense planning and execution over a period of six to nine months. For chapter formation, this process may extend up to a year, particularly when legal requirements for incorporation are involved. DASCIN recommends that the steering team include individuals with prior experience in leadership roles within a DASCIN chapter or similar organization.
As part of the formation process, volunteers will need to complete a conflict of interest questionnaire and a confidentiality agreement, as the business planning stage may involve sharing sensitive or proprietary information between the steering team and DASCIN.
