The process to become a DASCIN Academic Partner consists of five key steps:
- Check for Academic Eligibility – Institutions must verify that they meet the accreditation requirements.
- Assign a Lead Instructor/Professor – A faculty member must be designated to oversee the integration of DASCIN materials.
- Sign the Academic Partner Agreement – The institution must formalize its partnership with DASCIN by signing an agreement.
- Get Access to Course Materials – Upon approval, the institution will receive access to DASCIN’s curriculum.
- Embed DASCIN Materials into the Curriculum – The institution integrates DASCIN materials into their existing courses.
Yes, there is an annual accreditation fee of $750 USD per institution, plus an instructor access fee of $250 USD per faculty member who requires access to the DASCIN portal. The instructor fee includes DASCIN Individual Membership, which provides access to additional resources and professional development opportunities.
Yes, once an institution is approved as an Academic Partner, they receive access to the full suite of DASCIN training materials, including lecture slides, instructor guides, student workbooks, and lab exercises. These materials can be integrated into existing academic programs to enhance data science education.
Yes, accredited Academic Partners can offer DASCIN certification exams to students as part of their curriculum. Institutions can order exams directly through DASCIN, enabling students to earn industry-recognized certifications alongside their academic studies.
The accreditation process typically takes 2 to 4 weeks, depending on how quickly the institution completes the required steps. Once an institution submits its application and signs the agreement, access to course materials is granted soon after payment is received and eligibility is confirmed.
