The SAFACertified™ Tools certification is a DASCIN accreditation that ensures IT tools comply with Service Automation Best Practices. This certification helps organizations validate that their technology solutions meet high standards of efficiency, automation, and compliance, providing customers with trust and confidence in their capabilities. The certification process consists of the following key steps:

Step 1 - Complete the Self-Assessment

The first step requires the organization to complete a self-assessment, which includes detailed documentation outlining how the IT tool adheres to the SAFACertified™ framework. This assessment covers key areas such as service automation, workflow optimization, security compliance, and integration capabilities. Organizations must provide evidence demonstrating how their tool meets these standards.

Step 2 - Submit the Self-Assessment for Verification

Once the self-assessment is complete, organizations must submit the documentation to DASCIN for review. The DASCIN certification team will validate the information, review supporting evidence, and identify any potential gaps in compliance. If necessary, feedback will be provided to help the organization make any required improvements before proceeding to the next step.

Step 3 - Sign the Contract

Upon successful verification of the self-assessment, the organization will be required to sign the certification agreement and pay the assessment fee. This contract formalizes the certification process and ensures both parties adhere to the evaluation criteria. The assessment fee covers the cost of technical reviews, audits, and certification issuance.

Step 4 - Plan the 1-Week Auditor Assessment

DASCIN will then schedule a 1-week auditor assessment, where an independent certified assessor will evaluate the IT tool in a real-world environment. This process includes:

  • Technical reviews of system architecture and functionality
  • Live demonstrations to assess automation and compliance capabilities
  • Interviews with key stakeholders, including developers and system administrators
  • Performance testing to ensure the tool meets SAFACertified™ standards

The assessment ensures that the tool not only meets the requirements on paper but also performs effectively in practice.

Step 5 - Receive the Certificate

After the audit, the assessor will provide a final report detailing their findings. If the tool meets all certification criteria, the organization will receive the SAFACertified™ designation, along with a certificate and official seal. This certification allows organizations to:

  • Showcase their compliance with Service Automation Best Practices
  • Gain market recognition and credibility
  • Increase customer confidence in their product’s capabilities

Organizations can then use the SAFACertified™ logo in their marketing materials and product documentation to highlight their achievement. Certification is valid for a set period and may require periodic renewal to maintain compliance.
