Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – [31 July 2024] – The Data Science Institute (DASCIN) proudly awarded the Big Data Project of The Year to Petronas Digital Sdn Bhd’s Exploration Tribe yesterday, celebrating their pioneering project, “Exploration & Development Intuitive Search (EDIS).” This cutting-edge AI-driven solution has transformed data retrieval processes for geoscientists, representing a major leap forward in the industry.
The Big Data Project of the Year Award, an annual competition held during the DASCIN Big Data Conference in May, attracted 62 entries this year. The award ceremony featured prominent guests, including Muthukumar Sockalingam, Senior Manager (Exploration Tribe); Marzuki Kamaruzaman, General Manager (Enterprise Architecture); and Faizal Zainol Alam, General Manager of Product Delivery-Upstream at Petronas Digital Sdn Bhd.
