Preference is given to professionals with a proven track record in organizations actively involved in data governance, ethical AI, and emerging technologies.
Typical activities that are performed by DASCIN ambassadors include:
- Create content and resources that support DASCIN’s mission of promoting ethical AI, data governance, and responsible automation.
- Advocate for the professionalization of the data science industry by sharing best practices and industry knowledge.
- Represent DASCIN at local and international conferences, workshops, and industry events.
- Deliver presentations, lectures, or webinars to educate and engage the community on responsible AI and data governance.
- Participate in working groups focused on social media outreach, event planning, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Engage with the community by answering questions on social networks and through direct messaging.
- Contribute early feedback on new DASCIN initiatives, ensuring programs are aligned with regional and global needs.
The time commitment varies based on the interest and engagement level of each Ambassador. There are no mandatory minimum or maximum time requirements, and participation may fluctuate depending on events and initiatives. The Ambassador role is designed to be a mutually beneficial opportunity – those who invest more time will gain greater visibility and impact within the community. All Ambassadors are initially appointed for a period of three years.
No, being a DASCIN Ambassador is a voluntary role reserved for a select group of individuals. While DASCIN may cover specific out-of-pocket expenses for approved activities, the role itself is unpaid and entirely voluntary.
